Building Permits in Indianapolis!

The Greater Indianapolis Nine-County, Single-Family Building Permits for February 2013 increased 30 percent compared to February 2012. There were 366 permits issued in February 2013 compared to 196 permits in February 2012.

“This is the eighth-straight month where we have seen an increase in permits in a year-over-year percent comparison,” said Steve Lains, CEO, Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis.

Permits are up 40 percent so far this year, double the percentage increase during this time last year.

In the nine-county region, the 366 permits issued in February 2013 created a total economic impact of
$65,544,673 in local income, $14,879,727 in local taxes, and 1,110 local jobs.
